Benefits
Migration Path. Now Data General Nova, Eclipse and MV users can replace legacy disk and tape systems with modern technology while retaining existing software and procedures. Systems that could not previously be moved to modern hardware now have a path to the future!
Cost Savings. Lower cost, higher-performance modern hardware can be used while retaining existing investments in hardware and software.
Time Savings. Original user applications and operating system software are used. No application software conversion or rewriting is required.
Certification Savings. Original software is retained so certification and auditing of user application on modern hardware is minimized.
Reliability. Modern hardware components are used to maximize reliability. Compatibility with Data General diagnostics and software insures ease of system use and maintenance.

Compatibility
nFusion works with Nova and Eclipse computers that support the standard DG PIO and DCH I/O protocols. It is recognized by standard DG operating systems and development software, and supports standard DG hardware diagnostics
nFusion replaces popular Data General legacy disk drives, tape drives and other peripherals
in current DG systems. The board slides into a standard DG 15" x 15"-compatible chassis slot and appears like a disk drive,
a tape drive and other standard DG peripherals to the DG computer. Disk and tape drives and media are replaced by modern MMC and SD memory
technology, insuring a reliable, legacy-compatible path to the future.
